Open Burning Season Has Ended
Open burning of yard waste is now closed in the District of Lillooet as of May 7, 2026. This is earlier than the typical mid-May closure due to current conditions.
No new burn permits will be issued until October 15, 2026 or until further notice.
Campfires are still permitted. A campfire is defined as no larger than 0.5m high and 0.5m in diameter, and must be attended at all times with water or a hand tool on hand.
