PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

TEMPORARY USE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR 3 YEARS TO PERMIT STORAGE YARD FOR IMPOUNDED VEHICLES
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 494 of the Local Government Act, R.S.B.C. 2015, that the District of Lillooet will consider a Temporary Use Permit at its Regular Council Meeting on Tuesday January 13, 2025, commencing at 5:00pm.
The purpose of the Temporary Use Permit is to use a portion of the properties 145 and 161 T&T Road, as shown on the map (images below), as a temporary impound storage yard. The site would accommodate approximately 20-30 impounded vehicles at a time, and held in the yard for up to 3 months. The site will not be permitted to be used as a vehicle wrecking or salvage yard. The use will be limited to storage only.
A copy of the application and relevant background documents may be inspected at the District of Lillooet Office, 625 Main Street during the office hours of 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. , and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. , Monday through Friday. Please note the municipal office will be closed December 24, 2025 at 12 pm, reopening at 8:30am, January 2nd, 2026.
Council will consider the Temporary Use Permit (TUP) at the Regular Meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
All persons who believe their interest is affected by the proposed TUP shall be afforded a reasonable opportunity to be heard in person, via Microsoft Teams, by a representative, or by written submission on the matters contained within the proposed amendment bylaws at the Public Hearing. A link to the Regular council meeting will be made available Monday January 12, 2026 on www.lillooet.ca .
Written submissions may be sent to District of Lillooet, Box 610, Lillooet, BC, V0K IV0. Email submissions should be sent to planning@lillooet.ca. Submissions must be received by 3pm on January 13, 2026. All submissions must include your name and street address and are considered public information, pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
