2025 Zoning Bylaw

Have Your Say! Seeking Public Feedback on Proposed New Zoning Bylaw No. 2025-26

What is a Zoning Bylaw?

The Lillooet Zoning Bylaw is a legal document that regulates how land and buildings in Lillooet can be used. It sets rules for things like building height, property setbacks, land use types (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial), minimum off-street parking, and more. The bylaw helps guide growth, protect neighbourhood character, and ensure land is used in a safe, orderly, and efficient way. By setting limits to land uses, it prevents conflict between neighbours.

At the June 17, 2025 Regular Council Meeting, Council gave first reading to the new proposed Zoning Bylaw 2025-026. The public engagement period is set to start on June 25 and run until August 6, 2025. There will be a Public Open House on July 14 from 5-8:30pm in Room 201 of the REC Centre.
