New Municipal Tax Relief Policy Approved

The District of Lillooet has adopted a new Municipal Tax Relief Policy, approved by Council on June 2, 2026. This policy replaces the previous Permissive Tax Exemption and Grant-in-Lieu programs with a single, streamlined application process.

Organizations seeking tax relief must now submit one application per property, with a maximum of two applications per organization each year.

Applications will be evaluated by Council, which may approve a permissive tax exemption, a grant-in-lieu, or decline the request.

The deadline to apply is July 31 of the year prior to the taxation year requested.
