Free Home Wildfire Assessment for Lillooet Residents

One visit. A tailored plan. Up to $1,000 back for the work you decide to do.

Takes 2 minutes. Limited spots for 2026.

Why FireSmart Matters in Lillooet

Lillooet sits in one of the highest wildfire risk zones in BC. Most homes that burn in a wildfire don't catch from direct flame. They catch from embers that travel up to 2 kilometres ahead of the fire front, landing on roofs, in gutters, and in dry vegetation near the house. Nine out of ten home ignitions during a wildfire start this way.

The good news is that small changes around your home make a big difference. A FireSmart assessment helps you figure out which ones matter most on your property.

Recap of FireSmart in Lillooet in 2025

In our pilot year, 20 Lillooet homeowners signed up for a free assessment. 11 went on to participate in the rebate program.

We're building on that momentum in 2026 with capacity for 30 new assessments and 20 new rebates.

How Lillooet’s FireSmart Program Works

  2. We call you to book a visit. We find a time that works for you.

  3. You get your assessment and report. About 1 to 2 hours on site. Your written report follows shortly after.

  4. Optional: do the work, submit your receipts, get your rebate.
