2026 District of Lillooet FireSmart Rebate Program

Get up to $1,000 back for making your home more fire-resistant

The District of Lillooet FireSmart rebate program provides financial assistance to homeowners conducting mitigation activities on their residential properties, as recommended by a District of Lillooet FireSmart representative.

Rebates reimburse 50% of the cost of hired labour, or time spent conducting mitigation work on a residential property, up to a maximum of $1,000.

About FireSmart

FireSmart is a national program that helps homes, businesses, and communities become more resilient to wildfire. Research shows that mitigation steps taken by homeowners can significantly reduce the risk of property loss. Learn more at FireSmartBC.ca or take the free FireSmart 101 course at FireSmartCanada.ca.

How to Apply

  • Step 1: Get a free FireSmart Home Assessment. Contact firesmart@lillooet.ca or call Chief Corey Watkinson at 250-256-4289 to book.

  • Step 3: Email your completed application (signed Worked Hours Form and any receipts) to firesmart@lillooet.ca. A FireSmart representative will contact you to schedule a post-assessment. Keep your original documents for review.
