Evacuation Alert Rescinded - August 31, 2026 - Cook's Road, Roshard Road, Mitchell Road & 3 homes on Texas Creek rd.

The District of Lillooet has rescinded the Evacuation Alert issued on July 23, 2026 for the Riley Creek Wildfire (K70659). The rescind is effective immediately.

The rescind applies to:

• All properties on Cook's Road

• All properties on Roshard Road

• All properties on Mitchell Road

• The three properties on Texas Creek Road included in the alert

• All properties as outlined on the map below

Residents in this area no longer need to be prepared to leave on short notice. You may resume normal activities.

No evacuation alerts or evacuation orders remain in effect within the District of Lillooet for the Riley Creek wildfire.

What this means

• Neighbouring areas may still be under alert or order from their own authority. If you live outside the District, follow the direction of your own local government or First Nation.

• The Riley Creek wildfire is still burning. Campfires and open fires remain banned across the Kamloops Fire Centre until October 9.

• Get registered with Voyent Alert so you are notified if anything changes.

• If a subsequent evacuation alert or order is necessary, a new notice will be issued.
