Providing communications to our community is currently a shared responsibility between several District employees. Although having full time areas of accountabilities, each of these people try their best to provide regular communication updates.
With the increased wildfire activity and extra demands on our staff this summer, EMBC supported the District in providing contracted communications support. With this support we are able to provide extra communication efforts to you, including: ongoing social media updates, creation of informative videos, and we even hosted Facebook Live events.
We were reminded of the importance of providing regular communications, emergency or not, to our community. We are therefore considering seeking communication support on a regular basis.
