Infrastructure Awareness During Threat of Wildfire

You may be wondering why the District is asking everyone to reduce their watering of properties during this hot, dry period with the threat of wildfires in our region. You might be asking "Wouldn't it be better if I kept my lawn and bushes green to protect against fire?" In an ideal world, yes, but like most things our water system has limits, and we need to balance risks to ensure we can protect our community in a worst-case scenario. Water restrictions will be loosened as soon as possible, but now is not the time. We are in the process of improving our water system so we have more capacity in the future. Right now, we all need to work together to protect lives. Please carefully read the attached documents and do what you can to make your home and our community as safe as possible.
